Elections, and the vote upon which they depend, are the bedrock of democracy. They are the principal way the people of this country hold our government leaders to account, and exercise our collective will. But we can do that successfully only if all of those entitled to vote are able to do so, and if all those votes are counted equally. And we can have confidence that the outcome of an election represents our will only if we have confidence in the process that produces that outcome.

Former Chief Financial Officer of Catholic Diocese of Cleveland
Convicted of Conspiracy & Filing False Tax Returns A federal jury returned guilty verdicts against Joseph H. Smith, the former Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer and Legal Secretary for the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Michigan Man Sentenced to More Than 33 Years in Prison in Child Pornography Case Kenneth Miller, 43, pleaded guilty to numerous child exploitation offenses and was sentenced to 400 months in prison. In addition, Miller was ordered to serve a life term of supervised release and forfeit all of the computer equipment and pornography involved in his crimes. in Prison for Health Care Fraud Gustavo Smith was sentenced to 130 months in prison for his role in schemes to defraud the Medicare program. In addition to the prison sentence, Smith was ordered to serve three years of supervised release following his release from prison, forfeit $287,000 and pay $1,988,969 in restitution to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children® (NCMEC) and
the Ad Council have partnered to produce the following Public Service
Announcements (PSA’s) in an ongoing initiative to protect America’s
youth. Further, the Project Safe Childhood Web site provides information
